1st ESO ART. UNIT 1.2 Expressiveness of the dot

The expressiveness of an image made with dots is determined on How we use them. Dots can be used changing their size, thickess, shape, colour, technique and position.
We can make a composition playing with the dispersion and concentration of dots representing volume of objects, deepness and closeness.

Australian Aborigen artists know a lot about this. Their traditional painting is based in composition of dots. They can make figurative or abstract paintings based on this technique. Here you can see a few examples of it:

This is going to be our new challenge. We have to represent an emotion using dots in an abstract image. We have to use different types of dots in our painting. It looks easy but it is not. Abstract images are more difficult to make than figurative.
